P&O MICROSITE

In order to enhance the guest experience on P&O Iona I used Wordpress to create a microsite which guests would access through scanning a QR code. The site includes all the information the guests need about our offers, brands and events. In order to encourage scans I created a range of digital assets including flyers, A5 signage and motion graphic content to be shown on TV screens around the shops.

I follow and track Google Analytics on the regular to evaluate the sites success and how guests are interacting with content. This is vital as it helps me to monitor the site and edit appropriately to enhance the experience.

Analysing the success

In order to make sure that the Site is running smoothly and our targets are being met, I regularly track the analytics. This is essential as it helps me to understand how guests are interacting with the Site and shows what changes and opportunities we can take to enhance the experience and make sure guests are navigating smoothly through the Site.

When I first launched the site I noticed that guests were scanning and opening the landing page but then clicking off. So I came up with an incentive to encourage navigation around the site, I decided to launch a Fragrance Competition. This resulted in an increase of scans to the site but also guests clicking across multiple pages to reach the competition page.
