Bookstagram
Social Media
A big hobby of mine is reading so I wanted to combine this hobby with my Social Media skills and create a Bookstagram. I first started this account early 2025 however I had to put it on pause and relaunched on the 3rd April 2026.
I use Procreate, Photoshop and Capcut to create my content, I am experienced using all Adobe software and have begun using and looking into Canva too. I plan my posts weekly and make sure that I post regularly as this helps to build the community and keep my page relevant.

Analysing the success
It was quite a challenge restarting my account as I had a lot of inactive followers and the active ones weren't aware of who I was anymore. I started with an intro post and then began posting clearly structured reviews and "Currently Reading" photos. However the take off was slow, I noticed that the vibe of bookstagram had shifted in the past year and it was no longer focused on long reviews but instead more hooks and controversial opinions. I decided to take a chance and start adding bolder hooks to my carousels and also including me within the content so my followers could build a connection with the face behind the account. Since these changes my likes, followers and interactions have had a substantial positive impact and it is clear through my insights that my followers favour the hooks but also when I am featured rather than an individual graphic.
